the process

Discovery
At the start of an engagement, we help you define the role and align internal stakeholders around a successful outcome.  We apply a marketing mindset to prepare a "compelling job post" to attract peak performers, and we help you develop a sourcing strategy and an interview plan that is unique to the role and your organization.

Sourcing
We'll help you develop an inbound flow of candidates by effectively tapping your own network for referrals and we'll promote your open positions online to attract candidates who are uniquely qualified.  If needed, we can dial up our sourcing to include an outbound strategy where we do direct outreach to passive (currently employed) candidates and invite them to consider the opportunity.  For executive-level or especially hard-to-fill positions, we'll bring in a senior consultant from one of our trusted partners who has specific expertise in your industry.  

Interviewing
For each client, we run a bespoke interview process that provides rich data so you can quickly make well-informed decisions. We develop interview stages that are unique to the job to assess skills, abilities, fit, and character, and we use leading edge technology to automate the tasks that bog down most hiring processes.  This allows us to spend the majority of our time applying uniquely human skills, such as judgment and emotional intelligence, to make sound decisions.  We aim to be as thorough as possible in the most efficient way possible.

With the Interview Only model, we'll run a select number of finalists through a comprehensive interview process so you can have the utmost confidence in your decision.

This model is designed to provide a thorough, objective analysis of pre-qualified candidates to ensure you choose the person who is the best fit for the role and your organization.

We'll plan interview stages to screen for specific skills and traits, administer online assessments, and compile a feedback report for each candidate.

Ideal for: Running a thorough selection process for a small pool of highly qualified candidates

Average engagement: 1-2 months

SEARCH
​FACILITATION

MONTHLY RETAINER

Search Facilitation is our signature service, providing on-demand, expert-level hiring support on a month-to-month basis.   With this model, we'll help you attract and identify top talent for one or more open positions. 

We begin with an "inbound" strategy to attract candidates, which includes optimizing your network for referrals, a job post, and social networking.  If needed, we can dial up our support to include an "outbound" strategy of calling on currently employed candidates to invite them to apply. 

We offer a sliding scale for this model so you only pay for the support you need, and the total fee is typically a fraction of standard placement fees.  

Ideal for: Hiring one or more mid-level, professional positions that are likely to have a large candidate pool

Average engagement: 2-3 months

Executive
​SEARCH

Executive Search is designed for executive-level, industry-specific, or hard-to-fill positions that require niche expertise or a more extensive sourcing strategy than our search facilitation model provides.  

If this model is the best fit for your needs, we'll draw from our broad network of trusted partners in leadership advisory and executive search to select an industry consultant with the most relevant expertise to augment our service.

This model includes both the inbound and outbound candidate sourcing strategies described in our Search Facilitation model.

Ideal for: Hiring executive-level, industry-specific, and/or hard-to-fill positions

Average engagement:  3-4 months
